Kate Jordan was born to perform. Even at a youg age training with us at The Helen Laxton School of Dance and at The Somerset School of Performing Arts, we could see her star quality. Kate appeared in the West End Hit Musical 'Billy Elliot' whilst still training with us. At 16 years old, Kate was offered full scholarship places at Urdang, Bird College and Laine and chose to take up a place at Bird College. Before she had finished her final academic year, Kate was offered a dance role in the revival of the amazing show '42nd Street' in Paris followed by a contract in '42nd Street' in London’s West End. Kate then went on to tour with the Musical 'Kiss Me Kate' followed by 'Curtains' with Jason Mamford. Kate has performed on music videos with  many top recording artists including Dua Lipa, Rosalie, The Black Eyed Peas and Freya Ridings. Kate has also appeared on Tv and she is a professional  model. Kate is currently working with Andrew Lloyd Webber on his new spectacular West End Musical 'Cinderella'

 

Alex Jackson trained with us at The Helen Laxton Dance School and at The Somerset School of Performing Arts before starting his Vocational training at Urdang. On graduating Alex was offered his first West End contract in the musical "The Bodyguard" which he also toured the Far East and America with. Alex also gained a contract to perform in 'Thriller Live' in The West End, London. He has performed with many of the world’s greatest recording artists including Ariane Grande, Taylor Swift, Lady Lehur, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora. Alex has also appeared  on TV shows such as The X Factor. Most recently Alex has now moved to LA where he has just filmed 'The Prom' and 'Jingle Jangle' for Netflix. Alex is also is a successful model and choreographer.

 

Abigail Matthews trained with us in all forms of dance from an early age. At 17 she began her vocational training at Mountview Theatre School where she graduated with a first class honours degree in Musical Theatre. Before she completed her final year of training Abigail was offered her first professional engagement, a 15 month contract playing the mistress in 'Evita' which toured all over Europe. Following this Abigail made her West End debut in the hit musical "The War Horse". Abigail was nominated for best female in The Off West End Awards for her role in 'The Hired Man'. Abigail's other theatre credits include Miss Miller in 'Goodnight Mr Tom', Phoenix in 'The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe' and numerous pantomime and summer season credits, Abigail also teaches Musical Theatre in her spare time.

 

Caroline Rees started Ballet with us at the age of 3 years, she then progressed onto other forms of dance and she also joined The Somerset Schoool of Performing Arts. Caroline completed her Vocational training at London Studio Centre before being offered a contract with the European Ballet Company. Following this Caroline was offered a contract with the JSLN Ballet Company in Austria for two years. Caroline is currently in her second season with the Ballet Company Moravske Divadlo in The Czech Republic.

 

  

Emilie Woan danced with us from the age of 3-18 years training in all forms of dance. Emilie's Vocational training was at Performers College on the three year course, Emilie graduated with a National Diploma in professional dance, she also qualified as a dance, acrobatic arts and a zumba teacher. Emilie danced and performed professionally in the Uk and overseas and is currently a dance and acrobatic arts teacher at The Helen Laxton School of Dance. Most recently Emilie has completed her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with The Royal Academy of Dance giving her Qualified teacher status.

 

Elise Cohen – Yuill trained with us in all forms of dance at The Helen Laxton School of Dance and at the Somerset School of Performing Arts. Elise began her vocational dance training at London Studio Centre. Elise has performed at numerous events all over the world and she has recently become a singer, songwriter and has just released her debut album.

 

Tara Ivory Jordan trained with us in all forms of dance at The Helen Laxton School of Dance and in muiscal theatre at The Somerset School of Performing Arts. Tara trained vocationally at Barbara Speake Stage School followed by Millenium Performing Arts on the 3 year Musical Theatre Diploma.  Tara works as a singer for the group 'Old Kent Road' she is also a professional model

 

Georgia Green trained with us in all dance styles and was offered a place at The London Theatre School, London Studio Centre and Stella Mann College, Georgia chose to study at Stella Mann College following which she performed aboard, Georgia is now teaching Dance in Somerset.

 

Jessica Stephens trained with us in all forms of dance at The Helen Laxton School of Dance  and musical theatre at The Somerset School of Performing Arts. Jessica's vocational training was at PPA Academy in Guldford for 3 years. On graduating Jessica worked for  TUI for several seasons before returning to the UK to star in professional pantomime. Jessicsa is now Artistic Director of Reamba Productions who produce pantomimes

 

Chloe Burton trained with us in all forms of dance at The Helen Laxton School of Dance before being awarded a place at the prestigious Bird College with a full scholarship for three years. On graduating Chloe was offered a  contract with The Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship Harmony of The Seas sailing around world. Chloe has also taken part in numerous modeling, singing and dance performances.

 

Eronwy Selwyn trained with us in all forms of dance at The Helen Laxton School of Dance and musical theatre at The Somerset School of Performing Arts,. Eronwy's vocational training was at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting. Eronwy is currently teaching music and singing

 

 Ellen Darcey (Welch) danced with us for the age of 3 years. Ellen completed  her vocational training at Ballet Theatre UK  followed by lead solo dancer in the tour of Gansta Granny with The Birmingham Stage Company, dancer with Mariinsky Ballet Company, dancer with Ballet Theatre UK. Ellen is now training at Laban.

 

Corrie-Ella Cheshire trained with us in all forms of dance at The Helen Laxton School of Dance and musical theatre at The Somerset School of Performing Arts. Corrie - Ella was offered a place to study at Stella Mann Performers College and UEL, Corrie chose to study at Stella Mann College. Since graduating Corrie-Ella has become a professional model and dancer

Terence Sharpe trained with us at The Somerset School of Performing Arts before his vocational training at Northbrook Metropolitan College where he  gained a BA in Theatre Arts

 

 

Charlotte Diamond trained with us in all forms of dance and was offered a place to further her dance career at Chichester, Winchester, Falmouth, Plymouth De Montfort Universities to study dance, Charlotte chose to go to De Montfort University to study for a BA (HONS) Dance and choreography.

 

Danika Gawronski trained with us in all forms of dance and performing arts. Danika graduated from Chichester University with a First Class BA Honours Degree in Musical Theatre and Arts Development. Danika is now teaching dance, drama and Musical Theatre.

 

Charlotte Hamlett trained with us in all stykes if dance and in musical theatr at The Somerset School of Performing Arts. Charlotte was awarded a place at Studio 76 Performing Arts College in Liverpool where she completed her education. Charlotte is now studying dance at Wilkes Academy

 

Alice Hobbs, gained a place at The Royal Academy of Dance, Bath Spa University & the University of Worcester. Alice decided to go to the University of Worcester to study for a degree in dance and community practice. Alice is now working as a teacher of dance with children with sepcial needs
