Luck to all our pupils who have gained places at top vocational dance
schools and universities.
Congratulations to our
Hip Hop Crews, Rhiplay, Rhimix and Rhiact who were placed first and second
at the recent UDO Street Dance Competitions and have qualified for the World
Championships

Jackson has extended his contract in the West End hit musical "The
Bodyguard" and has also performed with Rita Ora and Arianna Grande
Full Scholarship places at top vocational dance schools, Chloe Burton
to Doreen Bird College, Faye Jordan to Susie Earnshaw Theatre School, Ellen
Welch to Ballet Theatre UK
Faye and Tara Jordan on winning Gold Medals for England at the World
Tap Dance Championships which were held in Germany.

The "Rhiact" and "Rhimix" Hip Hop Crews
are coached by former pupil Rhiannon Watkins, an award winning Hip
Hop Dancer and Teacher who has studied all styles of Hip Hop to the highest
level.
The Junior and Senior Squads are selected from
pupils of The Helen Laxton School of Dance during auditions at the start of
the Autumn Term.
The squads then train to perform at dance
shows, talent shows, charity events and competitions.
All three squads have competed at National level and are World Championship
qualifiers
We now also have a training Academy, the RDC Academy for children aged from
6
years of age who are taught all of the various Hip Hop dance styles in
preparation for entry into the Rhiact, Rhimix and Rhipaly dance crews.
We will be auditioning soon for our new Junior Crew "Rhiflex" aimed at
children under 10 years of age.
