The Somerset School of Performing Arts trains boys and girls aged  4 - 7 years in our Mini Division and aged 8-18 years in our senior school.

The school runs sessions on Saturday afternoons during the school term

1:00 -2:00pm for our junior pupils aged 4 - 7years

2:10 -5:10pm for our senior pupils aged 8 - 18 years.

Our weekly sessions at The Somerset School of Performing Arts  focus on Acting, Singing and Stage Dance lessons, building good technique and confidence which allows all of our pupils the opportunity to work towards performances, full length musicals, plays and concerts. As well as weekly sessions in Acting Singing and Stage Dance we also offer our pupils workshops in other aspects of performing arts such as recording sessions, microphone and audition technique, stage makeup, set and costume design and directing which  gives our pupils  an all round training.

The most important aspect of all of our classes is the element of fun which allows our pupils to relax, it improves thier confidence and it allows them to reach thier full potential and to be the best performers that they can be. We are extremely lucky to have a team of professional, caring industry specialist teachers who are able to share their experiences, knowledge and love of performing with our pupils.

Each year we stage a major musical theatre production at a theatre which raises money for local and national charities, we often also run a smaller concert for friends and families at the end of the academic year. Our most recent productions have been Grease, Hairspray, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Matilda, all of which were performed to sell out audiences.

Many former pupils now work professionally in the Performing Arts industry. Our pupils have gained employment in The West End, and on Broadway  they have appeared with top recording artists including Dua Lips, Black Eyed Peas, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Rosalie,  they have appeared on Tv, in films, in  modelling assignments, on cruise ships and in theatre related jobs all around the world.
